According to the BBC News report dated 7 September 2013: Man arrested in Buckingham Palace ‘after scaling fence’, The Queen and Prince Philip were not at Bucking Palace on 2 September 2013 at 22.20 hrs when a man was found in an area of the palace that is open to the public during the day. The report goes on to say that no other members of the Royal family were at the palace during the incident, in which a man was arrested on suspicion of burglary, trespass and criminal damage after scaling a fence to get into the palace. A second man was arrested outside the palace on suspicion to commit burglary. The Met said both men were bailed and a both an investigation and review of the incident that would include security issues.
